Please pray for his recovery. The hospital let him come home. He can not walk unattended and is in major pain.

Thanking God that injuries were not severe and asking that He keep your son's pain to a minimum and make his recovery smooth and complete. Adding a prayer for your peace and comfort too as I know a mother's worry can take its toll. So, go run a nice bath with some lavender oil and relax -- your baby is safe!

Oh you are so right!! I was really good the first couple of days, just serving him and cleaning and cooking, then boom! A big case of the "what if's" and he should of died, and just doom and gloom hit. I just keep turning those thoughts over to the Lord and just thank him for my son being alive. His girlfriend has spent the night on the couch every night so she can be sure he gets his medication, and wants me to sleep. Life is good. Thank you Jesus.

I am so sorry to hear about your son, but and so glad to read the update that he is "ok"! Praise the Lord!!!

My brother was in a very similar motorcycle accident a few years ago. He wasn't wearing a helmet (I know....TERRIBLE..) and his Harley flew I don't know how many feet down one of the main streets here, and he flew down the street right along with it. Sparks were flying off his motorcycle and everything. Parts of his motorcycle were scattered for MILES down the street. People who witnessed the accident were too afraid to even go over there because they literally thought he was dead Honestly, it was by the Grace of God that he survived, because every nurse and surgeon up at the emergency room said that he should have been dead. They just didn't understand that after being in THAT BAD of a motorcycle accident, how he was still alive. Especially being that he wasn't wearing a helmet. His face was........ mangled. I literally almost threw up when I saw him because you couldn't even tell it was him. He had rocks in his face, back, neck arms and legs from flying so far and so hard down the street - there was blood everywhere He was in a wheelchair for a very long time and couldn't work for years. He had to go to a rehabilitation center to learn how to walk again and after numerous surgeries he still has pins and bolts in his leg and he still til this day walks with a limp. He is also in pain on some days. The whole thing was just so awful.

I pray that your son continues to do well and having his family there to help him will certainly get him through it all. We had to take care of my brother for a very long time but no matter how hard it was we were always there for him and I know that you and your sons girlfriend will be there for him as well.

Oh thanks everyone. My son is doing good! His spirits are a little low, thinking about missing work and how is he gonna make his bills! But hey he is alive!!

Just saw this thread. You know that Paul is in my prayers, tell him Bob found his BBQ Sunflower Seeds and we'll be taking them over. Oh! Bob wants to know if Paul is still feeling like he's 65 years old.

That made Paul laugh so hard!! He said maybe he felt like he is 95 years old today after all those xrays. We looked at the films on Pauls computer, its really cool.

Charmer has a one track mind, Go-Go, he just loves her, preans her every night. He still thinks she's breedable. Eddie will be here when I'm gone to Texas, so I'll make sure he calls you and lets you know. So wish you were going with me, we'd have a ball. Maybe next trip.

Update.
We saw the orthopedic doctor this morning and he said Paul needs immediate surgery on his foot. The fracture is on a bone in his foot that is load bearing, and broken thru the joint. So he is gonna open him up and access what needs to be done to bring him back into alignment and aid in proper healing. Plates and screws or just screws?

So thanks for all of the responses and prayers. My husband should be back in town tomorrow evening. I am ready for a big old hug, let me tell you!!

I am grateful for the good medical care! (minus one rude referral clerk at facey medical group) Oh let me rant a minute or two. This clerk scheduled the appointment for Wednesday but called some random number and left a message there. Never called us at home and then copped a big old attitude when I went in the office to see when my son's appointment was. Since I had missed the appt, I needed to take him to the doctor the next day and sit in the office and wait 2 to 3 hours to wait for an opening in the dr's schedule.
Long story short, I called patient care line, complained....we saw the doctor this morning and did not have any wait. Amazing how things can work when you talk to a supervisor. Thank you JESUS!! No way could Paul of sat for 3 hours. The ortho doctor was fantastic!! He is top of his game!!
We still are waiting for the diagnosis on his back .

Last thing....Got police report, they ruled Paul not to be at fault, and the other driver does have insurance. Thank you JEsus Again~~~!!!

I'm so sorry that your son was in an accident, but praise the Lord that he is alive! To me it's a miracle as anyone getting hit on a motorcycle going that speed...yes...a miracle!

I will pray for his total and complete...and speedy healing! I'm so happy you still have your son! Hugs to you!
