Prayers for my dtr - raped Please keep my dtr in your prayers - someone put something into her drink at a party and she was raped. She has had enough to deal with recently with the loss of her Dad, the loss of her full scholarship to college because we had to move after his death, the loss of her Grandparents, the loss of her best friend(this wasn't a death, but finding out what the meaning of a true friend "isn't" - she was forced to pack up and move from SC back home with me in PA in a matter of a few days - resulting in losing alot of her belongings, her turtle and her precious cat Harry), just getting rid of a very scarey, stalker, finding out someone else she trusted was nothing but a scumbag and now this. This has been her last three years - most of it in the last 3 months. The really scarey part is - nobody knows what really happened, how many people may have been involved(nobody will 'fess up except one and he has two kids with his sister and they all live with their parents). She confronted him because he was seen dragging her back into the house after 1 1/2 hours. He is a crackhead and just talks in circles. He is a sweet talker and has his nose up every females' behind in town. She had only had 3 drinks and that was before she got to the house, so she wasn't drunk. Please, just keep her in your thoughts, she has some rough times ahead, until we can rule out any resulting health issues that may result from this. She just turned 20 on Xmas day. |
OMG...I dont know what to say other than i am so very sorry for what your daughter has been through. What a horrible person to do that to another human being. I will keep her in my prayers and you as well, because being a mother too i dont know what i would do if someone hurt one of my kids or now my grandkids...im so sorry..:( |
Oh hun my heart goes out your baby girl! you and your baby are in my prayers and thoughts. |
I don't know what to say, that's an awful lot to happen for someone still so young. I'm so sorry and I hope her health is okay. I'll keep you both in my thoughts. |
I'm so sorry for what your daughter is going through. My daughter wasn't raped but somebody slipped something in her drink when she was at a bar. She was 26 and she knew immediately something was wrong. She is asthmatic and suddenly she couldn't breathe and was very dizzy. Luckily her friends took her to the hospital where she ended up staying 5 days. They did blood work and she had 5 different drugs in her system. Whoever slipped something in her drink could have killed her. As a parent all we can do is be there for them when they need you. |
I'm so sorry your daughter has had to go through all this, thats more than some people go through in a lifetime, I hope she hasn't lost he faith in people after this, my prayers are with you both. |
I'm so sorry this happened to your daughter. That is a lot to handle no matter how old you are. I will keep her in my prayers. Have the police gotten involved? |
OMG . I am sitting here in shock after reading all your daughter has been through. I am so very sorry . No matter how often I hear it , I truly do not understand the horrible vile things some people are capable of. I will keep your daughter and you in my thoughts and prayers and pray she finds peace and strength . |
I am so sorry. :( If the police haven't been notified, they really should be. Chances are that she isn't the first victim and won't be the last. With situations like this it is very common to have almost no memory of the events, so please don't let that stop her from reporting it. You have no idea what investigations may be going on in the background. What she knows could provide the missing piece of the puzzle for police. Please encourage her to find a counselor as well. I really wish I could give you both a hug right now. I am so sorry. |
The things that have happened to her are just the tip of the iceberg. Since my dh died, it's like there has been a giant target hanging over our heads. She got 2 trumped up traffic tickets - one for speeding while she was traveling in a group of cars all going the same speed - she was the only one pulled over. When she went to fight it, there were about 30 others there from the same area who had gotten tickets from the same cop at the same place. She got it down to a small fine. The second happened while I took her down to move out in SC. I was with her and she wasn't speeding. I am a fanatic about speeding and I know we were within the limit. The town it happened in is just outside Myrtle Beach and consists of one speedlimit sign, a gas station, a traffic lite and a very lonely, bored cop. We were slowing down and were at the town speed limit sign when stopped - he said we didn't slow down at the first sign - DUH - that was the first sign. Since we drove 15 hrs down, packed up the car and drove 15 hrs back, we weren't going to court to fight it. Paid the $81.00 and got a notice to pay another $100 to unsuspend her licence. That came today. Her car needs some work done to pass inspection so she can't drive it. She has been having panic attacks at work(they are very understanding) and was able to up her meds dosage today. The Dr. also gave her mega amounts of antibiotics to take care of most things that may be present. She has to wait to find out about the Hepatitis, HPV, Herpes, and Aids. And pregnancy. Her seizures have started back up but we have figured them out, since no Dr.'s have been able to. They are triggured by long periods of reading. She has been being treated for chronic bronchitus for years - we just found out she has asthma - not bronchitus. That is improving now that she has the correct meds. She has lost 2 jobs because of sexual harrasment(she is built like Dolly Parton). I could keep going, there is no end to her bad luck. When Joe died, she was in the 11th grade. In Myrtle Beach(where we lived at the time) she was taking college courses - on the Dean's List - honor roll student and could have graduated HS early. She had a scholarship for college. When we moved back here to PA, she was told by the high school that she would have to start the following year in the 10th grade, making her 19 when she graduated. They wouldn't accept her HS credits from the south(they are still fighting the Civil War here, I guess). So, she moved herself back to SC and finished her education thru Adult Ed and graduated with honors and was inducted into the National Honor Society. Only about 5% of GED graduates ever accompolish that. She still has all the cards and gifts that the YT members sent her. She treasures them. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Oh, my best friend works at the Rape and Crisis Center and she is going to go talk to them. I know she needs that or she'll never trust anyone again. |
Im so very sorry, you both will be in my prayers. |
So very sorry, I will pray for her tonight:hands::hands::hands: |
I am so sorry to hear all of that. It is so good that she is going to get therapy. It will take her a long time to get back to good but it will happen. You are a wonderful mother to be by her side through all of this. |
I will keep her in my prayers. |
I cannot even believe all that she has gone through. How horrific. I will certainly have her (and you) in my thoughts and prayers. |
