I lost my mom to Alzheimer's 3 years ago. She was in a nursing home for the last 8 months. She had become uncontrollable at home. It is very, very sad to see your loved one like that, my thoughts are with you at this sad time for you. Small comfort to you might be that she doesn't realize what is happening and may be content to be around others like herself.

I'm so sorry to hear you and your mom are going thru this! Isn't it sad? I will pray for you and hope that even with all that you are dealing with, you will both feel and see God at work in your lives!

I know how you feel, my grandma was in another country when she was sick and also loosing her memory I got to visit her but not as often either

Eddie just started therapy dog work, and we're visiting a nursing home where lots of patients have Alzheimer's. They don't always remember us from week to week, but they still smile when we visit. Some tell us stories about the dogs they had in their youth.

I know, is so wonderful to see them smile, my father-in law was in nursing home for few weeks and we took the girls with us, all the people there was so happy to see them

I work for a primary care office,and see this and how it effects the family /cartakers. I'm sure she had a wonderful life and always remember the fun and happy times you sharred growing up. Hang in there.
