Appointment with ortho surgeon tomorrow
 
Hello Family - I have an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow to discuss exploratory surgery to determine how much and what kind of nerve damage I sufferd due the the 4 wheeler accident and surgery to repair the bone. Most of you know that I have been in moderate to severe pain since the accident which occurred in November of 2008. The pain and the meds that I am on are distracting.

I am asking for the prayers from my YT family that the doctor will be able to find and repair the damage so that I can get on with my life.

Cindy.. sending many thoughts and prayers.. I have lived in pain with needing new hips since I was in my early 20s so I know how that feels... hope it is not too much damage..

Cindy, you are in my prayers for an easy fix of your nerve problems. I hope everything goes well...i will be watching for updates. Good Luck with the surgeon...:)

Cindy, I will be praying for you. I had not heard about you accident. I am so sorry to hear you are in constant pain. I pray the doctors will be able to do something to give you relief from your pain.

Oh no ... Prayers are on the way .... I know you must be in a lot of pain ... my Hubby has nerve damage in his back too .... I hope the Dr. can fix it ....

Scheduled for Taursel Tunnel Surgery on 7/30
 
Just got home from the appointment with the ortho surgeon. I am scheduled for out-patient surgery on 07/30. Dr. said that there was a 50/50 chance that the surgery will significantly lessen the amount of pain I am experiencing and will improve the overall condition of my foot.

Needless to say, I am very frightened - becasue there is also a 50% chance that the surgery will not help. The good thing is that chances are surgery won't make things worse.

I know I will be surrounded by the thoughts and prayers of my YT family this coming week. You will never know how much that means to me. :hug: to all of you.

hey that is a surgery i actually know a little about....i helped do a few of them with the podiatrist at the hospital i worked at....that surgery is awesome...not really alot of pain afterwards....some but not really bad...no where near the pain you have been having.....it is very similar to carpal tunnel surgery....works great if that is indeed the problem...i will keep you in my prayers

Cindy, I've added you to my prayerboard. I'm praying that the surgery goes better than expected and that it relieves you of all that nasty nerve pain.
