| Need a good vet in the Dallas/Fort Worth area Hello to all fellow Yorkie lovers!!!! I just moved to Southlake after graduating from UT in Austin, and CoCo needs a good vet! She is 8 months old, and weighs three and a half pounds. I would love to find a vet that is good with small dogs, or specializes in small dogs (but doesn’t have to). I just want a really good vet around here that other people trust, and think is good. I need to get her teeth looked at and just do the whole check up thing, ya know! Well if anyone out there has a recommendation for a vet in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex I would love to hear from you. I can do Southlake, Keller, Colleyville, Grapevine, HEB, NRH, or anywhere else around here. Oh ps if anyone wants to meet up for a yorkie get together in the area let me know! I am game. |

| Welcome to DFW! I do know of an EXCELLENT vet, but he's more towards Crowley which is quite a ways from you. You may be better served waiting for someone a bit closer to you giving you another recommendation. I CAN offer this though - if you want what's best for your pup, do NOT take her to Airport Freeway Animal Clinic in Euless. That is the absolute WORST vet experience we've ever had. Also, we have yorkie meets about once a month at the dog park in Southlake. We just had one this past weekend - we haven't set a date for July yet, but as far as I know, we're on for another one. Keep watching the threads in this section for any upcoming meets

| Corinth Animal Hospital in Corinth, TX. Dr. Zenker saved Choco's life when he had his glucose problem and now they will see him at the drop of a hat. I absolutely love them and it is so worth the drive. You can google them to get their website. Hope this helps. |

| Thanks for the advice!!!! I went to a vet hospital today that was on highway 114 and Whites Chapel and I loved it. I they offered me a very good price to do spaying and baby teeth pulling. Not only that the vet knew that I am really worried about putting her under, so she talked to me a while, and went through the procedures with me. I felt very comfortable there and I think CoCo liked it. I am going to call my insurance tomorrow and see if they will cover it. If not it’s a good price and I think I can handle it. I am just still not sure about spaying though. |

| Sorry I should have been more specific. Southlake Animal Hospital 200 W. Northwest Parkway Southlake, TX 76092 817-481-2014 I love him. He doesn't get in a hurry and your baby is his baby to. He treats my Macaw (that almost died when she was a baby). There is a lady in with him but I'm sorry I don't remember her name but she is very good also. They also board if needed. They are like the old time vet that was about your pet not money.

Dr. Moore's prices are reasonable and he is like a country vet with today's knowledge. I was so thankful that I had found them both and to know that they are there for my babies. I have another vet that I had used for years just up the street that used to be great but now they are mostly about the money. Very sad and they have lost alot of business but the vet sold out his small neighborhood practice to be in one of the larger clinics and $$ is all they are about. Good care but the money not the pet is first with them. I for 1 want my baby to come before the $$. Sorry for the long rant...
