Sounds great, I would be coming from the South:rolleyes: but I think I can make it, it would be a 2 to 2 1/2 hour drive:eek: but I think it would be fun;)

LOL Now that I've planned the whole thing out for ya'll... (Just teasing!)

Still not so sure about Pixie. They told me they weren't doing surgery till next week since he didn't talk to me Monday, then they called today and said he wants to see her tomorrow just to feel her... and that turned into just to feel her... and do the surgery if he thinks it needs to be done... so I guess I just won't know anything until she's either in surgery or not tomorrow. Either way, she'll be having it by next week, so.... she may or may not be back on her feet in time for the 14th. But we're gonna try!

Murfee and I will try to make it, but I will warn you that he is a bit grouchy right now since we are in the process of building a new house and living in our camper. Maybe this will be good for him!

I can't do it this Sunday, but ya'll are more than welcome to. Perhaps we can have another in May when Sadie's Mom can come, too? Anyone up for that?

I think one in May also would be great. Personally I think we should have a meetup at least once a month.

I would be interested in a monthly thing - although I wouldn't necessarily be able to come every month.

And as that goes, Pixie is for sure having her surgery on Tuesday... so she may not be "playable" by the April meetup, but Bogey (new yorkie I'm getting tomorrow) should be able to go, and I may be able to carry Pixie along (I'd hate to leave her at home).

We live in Granbury but I go to school in Fort Worth and have a little apartment there in 76107 near University + Camp Bowie so if yall ever want to take our cute yorks for a walk then we want to go!

Ok ya'll - I do intend to come this weekend... I'm getting really excited :D
But Pixie is not going to be able to walk - or if she is *able* she's not allowed. I can either come briefly with both Pixie and Bogey and just hold Pixie, or I can leave Pixie and Bogey at home and just come to meet everyone and YA'LLs yorkies :)
Not sure I want to bring Bogey and not Pixie...

Suggestions? Votes?

I don't think it would be fair if you brought Pixie and she could not play with the others. Why don't you just bring Bogey, and just bring Pixie next month when she is all healed and ready to play!!!

I am really excited for Saturday too! I think it would be ok if you brought pixie and just held her. If she is not feeling good she will probably want in your lap anyway.

Just a thought..... but this weekend is the big race.....( Texas Motor Speedway) and traffic is going to be horrible ALL WEEKEND LONG.... that entire area is a place you want to avoid at all cost..... I hate to be a killjoy but Southlake is not where you want to be or where you want to trying to get to this weekend....

This is very true, however on Saturday the race starts at 2:00 and it is only a Busch race which never brings the magnitude of traffic that the Nascar race on Sunday will bring. I am hoping the traffic will fade out by that time and we will all be okay and not stuck. I am more than willing to play at another park if that is what yall would like to do. I have been wanting to go to Fort Woof off Beach Street and I-30 in Fort Worth. It's a bit more south west than Southlake so should not be any race traffic. Whatever yall would like! We just can't wait to play!

There is a doggie park in Denton (south Denton) right off Ryan and Teasley Lane. I haven't been there but a friend of mine takes his dog there quite often.

I leave 5 minutes from the track and the traffic does not get bad until Sunday evening after the Cup race when all the trailers, haulers, and campers are leaving. Plus most of the race traffic is early in the morning and late evening because with NASCAR it is all day affair and you have to get there early and leave late. I actually have tickets for Sunday's race, and I always leave my house like 20 minutes before the race and get there with no problems. Anyways there are other ways to get to Southlake other than I35W, for instance Hwy 377 and Davis Blvd.
