Any Yorkie moms want to meet for a play date in Ft. Worth, TX area?

I'll be watching this thread, as my girls come home in in january and will need lots of extra socialization From Other people as well as dogs as they are very shy. I live north of fort worth, both Keller and southlake are easy for me to get to

I just now saw this. I think there is a Valentine's playdate in the planning stages. We haven't had one for awhile.

I'm glad so many of you of interested in getting together for a play date. It doesn't matter to me whether it's January or February or even where we meet. I had initially talked about Keller or Southlake, but I would be willing to meet somewhere else if need be. It's my understanding there is a dog park in Southlake that would be a good location.

I guess it all depends on the best date for everyone and whether the weather will be nice. I imagine a weekend would be better for most people. The weekends in January are 3rd & 4th; 10th & 11th; 17th & 18th; 24th & 25th. I'm open for any of these weekends. Let's all look at our calendars and set a date. I suggest if none of these weekends are good, then we can look at February.

My babies and I still won't make anything until March, but I thought I'd comment

We have in the past held play parties at the Southlake dog park - it is a great place with lots of trees and such, but ONLY if the weather is nice as it is all outdoors. With freezing weather, I for one wouldn't be wanting to go stand outside with the dogs

There's a place in Dallas that some of the group (not me, so I don't know exactly where it is) has also met - they allow dogs on the patio. I don't know how appropriate that would be or if even that would be too cold this time of year, but at least some of the wind would be blocked. I think I heard someone mention in the summer that they had fans out there.

I also found a relatively new dog park in Arlington - I haven't been there yet, but when the weather is better AFTER February, I'll be going to check it out, too.

If we go to the Southlake dog park I would suggest the end of the month. The 24th or 25th is good for me. Just because I would hope we would have a nice day to be outside.

I live in Haslet (right by Keller) and would love to have a playdate for Wookie. He will be 3 on the 20th. I really need to get him out to socialize more too. Would be great for us!!!

Fort Woof in Gateway Park off of Beach and I 30 is another great dog park in Fort Worth area. They also have "Barktoberfest" there sponsored by the Ticket each fall that is a ton of fun!

I'm available to meet for a playdate pretty much any weekend. Someone mentioned January 24th or 25th. Either is fine with me. Lily has plenty of energy to expend!

And I live right down the road from both of you in Haslet!!!

I am also available during the week. I get home from work around 3-3:30 and love to take Wookie out for walks at that time. I would love to have a playdate close by. Our areas or Keller/Southlake would be great! We have a great new little park in Haslet if anyone wanted to meet me there sometime.
