| I agree! Thanks! I was thinking about gifts or no gifts for the birthday pups and thought this might be a good alternative. Instead of buying gifts for a few pups, we can do this fundraiser to help yorkies less fortunate than our furbabies. ![]() The goodie bags are really coming along as well. If you know any vendors who would like to contribute to either the raffle or the goodie bags, have them contact me.

| Silly! Of course you're not ignorant! That's a good question! I think the best items would be things you would like to win yourself as a "prize" of sorts. For example....new yorkie clothes or toys, homemade treats, craft items like candles and things like that. People who attend will buy tickets for however much we decide and then tickets are drawn randomly for each prize. There's another type of raffle where you buy tickets for just the items you want to win, but I'm not sure how that kind works exactly. Also...Kelz from the OK Yorkie Rescue just told me that they also need harnesses, leashes and collars. So if your pups have outgrown anything, bring those along, and I'll handle the cost to ship them to the rescue. Gizmo has a harness he's outgrown that's still in good shape, so I'm bringing that for sure.

| I just received an email copy of the Dogtopia Waco newsletter. One article mentions our meetup, and I thought you might like to read it. ![]() ****************** Tails of a Dog Daycare Hello Fellow Dog Lovers! Waco's 1st year to participate in Dogtopia's annual dog wash for K9 Support was a SPLASHING success! Wonderful volunteers turned out and washed dogs for over four hours! We registered 102 dogs and raised over $1600 for equipment and goodies for our military dogs and their handlers. We had two active duty dogs and their handlers with us to do demonstrations and speak about military dogs. Everyone (2 legged and 4 legged) had a blast in our gym where we had games, treat races and bobbing for hot dogs. All participating stores scrubbed close to 400 dogs and collectively raised $6,500. Once again Wacoans lived up to the name "HEART of Texas"! We washed more dogs than any other Dogtopia location and can't wait to do it again next year - WAY TO GO WACO! Let's talk MEET-UP! Do you and your Boston Terrier want to meet up with other Boston's? Is your Great Dane itching to play and wrestle with other Danes? The Texas Yorkie Talkers are doing just that on Aug 16th 1pm to 3pm in our Gym and they invite all Yorkie owners to join them. Meetup.com is a great place to start if you are interested in seeing if your group is out there waiting for you or even to start your own! Next, we are pleased to announce that in 2 weeks we will introduce 3 great lines of dog food, including a holistic and organic line! Check our website soon for more information or just come by to see for yourself! Finally, many dogs have been calling to see if their owners have scheduled their evaluations (of course we are serious). So if you can not understand why your pup has been a little distant and not as friendly to you lately you really might think about adding time to make the evaluation appointment soon. It only takes about 15 minutes and once your dog has passed the evaluation he/she can stop by anytime to play and stay with us! Your dog will thank you for making this a priority! Kim and Amy Happy Dog Daycare Owners

| I just wanted to reassure everyone that there is still no cost for this meetup. Someone was concerned by how the newletter article read, that there would be a charge now. There will not be a charge for us. We are planning on charity raffle or auction though, so if you WANT to bring some money for that, feel free.

| I haven't had any donations for a "raffle", but we could all still bring any extra harnesses, collars or leashes that we have, and I'll see that they get to the OK Yorkie Rescue. ![]() Anyone want to bring a few birthday hats or a banner for the birthday furbabies? I think crb is making cupcakes for them.
