Is this the dog show that can be found on the AKC website that is August 22-23 in Houston? Or is everyone tlaking about a different one?

This dog show was held this past weekend July 18-20. I hadn't heard anything about the one being held Aug. 22-23.

Yes, the Yorkshire Terrier Club of Greater Houston and the Houston Toy Club will be having their shows August 21 through August 23. The Yorkie specialty is always great. Here is a link to their website:

Usually one of the yorkie shows will be a evening show and the other is usually a daytime show. The Yorkie club also has a great hospitality.

Looks like it's a coformation for the Yorkshire Terrier Club of Greater Houston, being held on August 22-23, other toy breeds will be there also: cavaliers, toy fox terrier, chihuahua - not sure exactly where it's being held.

Here's the Premium List for the Houston specialty shows in August. This is the information that is mailed out to those who show. It contains all the information about it.

We should be there. Who else is going???

I just read the Premium List for this show it states:

"Only Dogs that are eligible to be shown under the AKC rules shall be allowed within the show grounds except dogs engaged as special attraction approved by the American Kennel Club, may also be present."

The show is being held at The Crown Plaza Hotel in NW Houston. There are always spectators there with their fur babies. Any of you that are out of town, you might want to get a group together and share a room, it is a lot cheaper that way.

Just so everyone knows, this statement was also in the Premium List for the Reliant Series of Dog Shows. Even though it's not enforced at that show, it MAY be enforced at this small venue. That said, we're bringing one of ours.
