Please tell me what you guys all decide. I want to meet other Yorkie lovers. Plus Killeen is pretty boring hehe, so getting away wouldn't be bad at all.

Bellmead, that's where we (my husband and I both) went to school. Small world, huh?!! My parents still live around that area and my husbands family has moved to the other side of McGregor.

Hi there, I didn't realize there were more YTer's in College Station. I knew of Michele (MyFairLacy) but that was all. I live in Brenham (about 45 minutes from CS - or 55 minutes in my case since I'm out in the country) and I work in College Station at A&M. I'm going to try to go to the next Houston meet-up since the Dallas area is a little far for just a short meeting. Maybe you CS ones go to that one also and sometime we can get together in Bryan/CS also.

Hi, there are actually three of us in the Bryan/College Station area. My sister-in-law, Layla's Mom, is also here. I also work at A&M. I am going to try the next meet-up in Houston, of course I believe they are talking about a meet-up in Waco too. We three had our own little meet-up this past Saturday at my house. Michele and Gayla (Layla's Mom) came over on Saturday, we had 9 yorkies at my house running around my backyard. I was puppy sitting a 6 month old yorkie and of course Michele still has her parent's yorkie. They all had a blast and were "dog tired" afterwards. :D

Oh, that's great! Because I have to drive here from Brenham 5 days a week, I very, very seldom come to CS on the weekends but will have to make a point to come meet all of you the next time you get together! I work in Chemistry.... which dept. are you in?

I do plan on trying to get to the meet-up in Houston. That particular park they are talking about is only maybe a little over an hour away for me so that makes it nice.

Sounds like a plan...I'll let you know the next time we get together. I work in the most hated department on campus...Transportation Services. :D We're not so bad. :p

Afternoon Judy,
I went to school at LaVega. Graduated a looong time ago ... in '74! :D
I'm looking forward to being able to come to some of the 'meet-ups'.

yes, Cynthia, I have to say...I'm NOT a fan of transportation services :p My car got towed before school even started my freshman year!! Not a nice way to welcome an incoming freshman :( And I got a ticket for parking in the wrong parking lot once (and I thought it was okay for me to park there since it was summertime). But...hey, I like you anyway :D

I'd really like to do something next Saturday, the 23rd. I don't have any exams that next week so that weekend would be perfect for some kind of meetup. I don't know when a Houston meetup is taking place but that weekend would work well for me (if Cynthia and Gayla can go so we can all ride together) or if not Houston, maybe we can have a playdate here in CS.

Yeah, we like to break the fish in early. :p That way we don't have to deal with you throughout the years, you learn your lesson right off the bat. :D

I don't have anything planned for the 23rd...not that I recall at this moment anyway. Sounds like a plan.

What exactly do you do for transportation services? I always forget to ask you. Yeah...luckily I just park at the vet school now so no more tickets for me.

Well, I'll be in Austin next weekend visiting a friend but if ya'll get together, have fun. Maybe ya'll can ride together to the Houston one.

And as for parking, I had a hard time at the beginning of last semester. I park in an assigned numbered spot in the Northside Garage and for three days straight a student parked in my spot (different car each time). Each time I had to go park on the roof, wait for them to get that person out of my spot and then walk all the way back to the garage later in the morning and move my car. Ugh! But man, it's the high prices that we have to pay just to park here that frustrate me..... and of course the hike from the garage to my office. Hate that!

I supervise all the cashiers that work in the garages and special events. We also maintain all the pay stations in the garages and pay lots, the Wehner lot for instance. I also do alot of accounting work for our area, reconcile credit cards for all locations..the list goes on. :D I love it here, I've been working for Transportation since November 1993, going on 15 years.

Have they scheduled the Houston meet-up yet?

Belive me we have to pay the same prices everyone else does, we're just lucky in the fact that all of our offices are in garages so we pretty much get to park right outside our office. But that's only if we choose to pay the garage permit prices, there are some that park in surface lots and then walk to their office in the garage.

I was wondering if anyone had decided on a time and day to meet up in the Killeen/ Fort Hood area. Iknow there was talk of it, so I wanted to check.
Just to tell everyone because I am so proud. My Sally had her first pup yesterday. She was a trooper. It's a boy and he is huge LOL!!! My Grandma is completely excited, as she will be the new mommy when the tme comes!

Hey guys... I kinda quickly skimmed over this thread, are you talking about having a meetup the 23rd of FEBRUARY? Like... this coming Saturday?

As long as it doesn't rain anymore this week and her yard isn't too wet, we're planning on having a playdate at crb's house.
