Knoxville Area Dog Event The following are upcoming dog events in the Knoxville area - 9-8 Dog Days of Summer: It's from 10-3 at Grace Lutheran Church on Middlebrook Pike. This is a pet rescue awareness event. Free food, local Blue Grass Band, a children's are, large inflatables, America's Best Frisbee Dogs from Michigan is performing. I think will be fun to watch - 9-23 The Smoky Mountain Pet Fair: It's from 12-6 in springbrook park. I want to go real bad, but unfortunately I'm moving that weekend Maybe some of you can go. Unfortunately, I can't go to either event. This week Rosie is at my parents and the weekend of the 23rd I'm moving

What weekend in October? There are events then too, but I didn't post them yet because they're still too far out. Knoxville has a lot to do. You can go to a Vols game, to the dog parks (there are 2 good ones I know and 2 others I never been to), shopping areas, great places to eat, etc.

I got to go to the Pet Fair this weekend and it was a lot of fun. I saw many yorkies. Hmmmm...I wonder if any of them were members from YT. Also, the following are events this weekend. If you meet a yorkie named Rosie at the Oak Ridge event then it's probably us There are several events in October, so I will let you know about those closer to the day. 9-29 Pet Fest and Blessing of the Animals: This is in Grace Lutheran Church in Oak Ridge from 1-5. There are many activities, vendor, etc. 9-30 Blessing of Pets: There is a service and a pet celebration afterwards. They have treats, certificates, and services.

Wow, Knoxville must really love their pets. I hardly ever see events for pets here. I'm thinking about bringing my yorkie with a collapsed trachea to UT for diagnosis in a couple of months. I took my yorkie, Diesel there in July for diagnosis of his liver. UT is great and we loved the downtown area. If I decide to have him treated there, I'm emailing you for an update on the events.
