| Thanks. Your's is a cutie too. Afraid they aren't bro/sis, Reagan was born in Oct. Wow she'll be 8 months the 19th. It really is a small world. Have you been to that pet clothes store on Greensboro, "Fetch!"?

| Yep! Our home is in Anniston [East Central Alabama] ... we are in Colorado right now but get home fairly often! This project looks like it will take several years .... I was hoping we could get a bunch of Alabama Yorkies together before I am too old to drive!!!

| "Fetch" - Reagan's mom - nope, not yet, but I plan on dropping in before I am living in Tuscumbia full time. I shop at spoiledyorkies.com -- but with this Alabama heat and humidity, it'll be a while before he gets to wear his new digs. Bettyeanne, so good to hear from you. I hate you won't be down South anytime soon. I hope that beyond that you, Toto and DH are doing fine. You haven't missed a thing this week though -- it's rained all week and Luca Dean has turned into a bona fide mud puppy. Need to post new pics of him -- his muzzle hair is yorkie length now and he looks so darling (when he hasn't been out in the yard munching on mudpie.) |

| lucynfred!! Wondered where you had been lately ... can't wait to see new pics of Luca Dean ... bet he's changed!! We were down home for a few days last week ... yep, it was humid!! The Toto loves coming home because she always gets to go "naked" .... the little hussey!! We're seriously considering a puppy cut if Patrick can keep his heart rate down! He almost has a coronary every time I mention it! He said for me to do what I want about it but he would like some really good studio portraits before it's cut! He never dreamed there would be a studio in Grand Junction, CO that actually does pet portraits!!! Ah HA ... I found one!!

| That's cute Bettyeanne, too funny. My husband is the same way though. Before we got Reagan he really didn't have any idea what a yorkie was (well not until I started showing him pictures). Then when we got her he thought I was crazy letting her hair grow out. He always said how he wanted it short and scruffy looking. Now he is just the opposite. He notices every millimeter it grows and gasps anytime I mention cutting it. I keep saying that next summer I might cut her short b/c she gets so hot. Well I swear everytime he hears me say it he about faints. I have to say though he knows better than to mention professional pictures. He knows I'd do it in a heartbeat and probably go to the end of the world to find someone to do it if I had to.

| Hey you got your point across. Cutting the hair doesn't make the cooler. Thanks for telling me before I cut it. I wasn't going to cut it this summer, I got her in Feb. and I had to see her with long hair at least once but figured if she would be cooler then next summer I wouldn't be so selfish. Now I get to keep it longer, well until I get tired of keeping up with her, she's a little mud baby. Nine times out of ten when she comes inside from being out she's covered right up to her chin in mud. Maybe she's been watching tv where they are getting mud baths and is just trying it out...I don't know

| kp&Nala ... yep! You did good ... they don't have an undercoat ... but Toto's going to be 2 years old next month and has never had a haircut. She has the usual ... 1/3 ear trim, around the toes, bottom of the feet ... but never had any length taken off! It's so long it touches the floor, so she does get pretty hot ... she also gets extremely cold in the winter. Courtney ... Toto is such a "couch potato" she has gained over 2 lbs. beyond her "safe" weight for her little bone structure. Our vet has warned us to get the weight off or she will be subject to heart problems and bad knees when she gets old due to the extra weight. We have had her on a "tough love" diet since December and she has gained about 5 ozs.! We are desperate and are beginning a tough exercise schedule to try to get it off! With her hair so long, I know this is going to call for extra grooming and it has gotten difficult enough as it is. If I have it cut, I will just have get used to Patrick looking like this ... ... for a few days!!
