| Pet Friendly Restaurants in Orlando? Does anyone know of any pet friendly restaurants or good restaurants with a patio area that will accept dogs? Max & I are meeting a friend in Orlando next week so we are trying to find a place to meet. We wanted to try to meet for lunch but am not familar with the area.

| I think dogs not being allowed in restaurants is a health department rule, not a choice a restaurant can make without being in violation. How about getting food to go or packing a picnic lunch and meeting at a park? |

| Just north of the city of Orlando is a small city named Winter Park. On Park Avenue in Winter Park, there are several restaurants that permit owners to eat outside with their leashed pets Park Avenue is a pedestrian-friendly, well-landscaped street with a park and has upscale shopping with some fun stores to rummage through. If you're looking for something tasty but not too pricy for lunch, try The Briarpatch...very fresh salads and sandwiches. Another alternative would be to buy something to eat at one of the delis in downtown Orlando and eat at Lake Eola park, which is also very pet- and pedestrian-friendly. It's a more low-key destination than Winter Park. We're expecting a cold front today... temps may fall to 84 degrees F by Friday. The weather's been lovely. Enjoy your visit! Carol |
