| A new baby! Hooray! Hello all! I live in Orlando and I'm adopting a Yorkie baby who will be delivered to me by my breeder next weekend. My previous dog was also a Yorkie who I had from the time he was 12 weeks old until his death at the age of 10 in December of 2005 from an inoperable C-spine problem and liver mass. It probably goes without saying that that was one of the most painful experiences of my life, and while there will never be a replacement for my previous baby, I'm so excited by this new boy I'm adopting. I'm a long-term Orlando resident and I had some good experiences with two vet clinics here during the life of my first Yorkie, but I'm curious to know if other Orlando residents have a recommendation for a vet who specializes in small breeds and/or Yorkies. Too, I've recently moved to an area on the outskirts of Winter Park which is a bit farther away from the previous vets' offices, and I like to be *close* to my vet, just in case. Anyone have any recommendations? I'd so appreciate it. And thanks for all your posts! I'm learning so much by reading them! Best, Carol |

| Carol, I just wanted to welcome you to YT. I hope you enjoy it here. It's a place where you can obsess about your yorkie and no one thinks you're crazy. Congratulations on your new baby. Looking forward to seeing pictures. |

Are you ever down Orlando way? I'm rarely up in Jax, but if you're here, we could plan a play date. Best, Carol

| Have fun w/ your new baby when he arrives! My new little girl is flying in from Budapest, Hungary soon! So I share in your anticipation! Welcome to Yorkie Talk, it's fabulous here! ps, oddly, I used to live in Jacksonville Florida on that military base there. Naval Air Station, Jacksonville Florida. Just thought that was interesting. While I know you don't live there, someone who just posted does and you're not too far away! |

Hey, congratulations on your new baby too! When will she be here? And from Budapest? Do tell more! Thanks for the welcome! I've learned a great deal already, especially about supplies for our Yorkies. Helps to hear the opinions from those who share the love of this special breed. Best, Carol
