Hello from South Florida! Hello everyone! I'm very happy to have found this site today. I am the proud owner of MisaRaye. She is my very first Yorkie and I love her to death. I will be reading as much as I can about Yorkies and this site is very helpful. Misa is a year and a half and I hope to breed her by the time she is 3. Leslie

Hi Lesile, I have also just gotten my first yorkie and I love him. I am having a rough go with training, but I know it takes time.

Believer, I see that we are both in Ft. Lauderdale. Perhaps we can get the kids together for a playdate, although it will have to be in a while as MisaRaye is currently in heat!! Leslie

lesile, that sounds cool. LOL, fortunately my little guy hasn't reached maturity yet. But I'm sure it isn't long. I need to speak with the vet about getting him fixed soon. I thought about breeding him since he has such an award winning pedigree. But I don't know anything about that so I think its in my best interest to just let the pros do that and I will just enjoy having my little Meeko.

Having said that... there were a few other things that the very young Vet said and did that didn't make me feel to comfortable with his knowlege of Yorkies. I think I might run Meeko to a different Vet for a second opinion. I just didn't get a good feel for this young Vet. Its a shame too, cause I went to this office prior to check it out and the Doctor, which I met and liked. But when I got there for Meeko's appt. I felt I had been given the ol' bait and switch. Anyway, when I have more time, I will give ya'll some details about this. | |
