Hi All! I'm new here. My name is Tammy and I'm also from Thibodaux, LA. I got my first Fur baby this past October. He's now 8 months old and we named him Gizmo. :dog:

That is most unusual to find another person from your same exact town - especially Thibodaux . . . as small as it is! I, too, use CajunAngel as a chat name and username in places!

As for Kansas and Texas . . . I don't know which region you belong to. For me, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama are a shorter drive than going towards Texas. Mobile, Alabama is about 3 hours from me and Biloxi, MS is about 2 hours.

Hi fellow Southerners!

Cooper (my 10 week old yorkie) and I and my husband and Honey (4 yr. old golden retriever), Tank (3 yr. old dalmatian), Tabasco (2 yr. old black lab) and Marzipan (2 yr. old tabby cat) live in Clanton, Alabama. We live out in the country on 13 acres, and we call our place Dogswood. Cooper and Honey are full time indoor dogs, and the other two are in at night and out during the day. The cat is almost always outdoors unless she sneaks in and we don't catch her.

Nice to meet you all. Cooper is our first little bitty dog, and we'll need lots of advice!

Our home is in Anniston but we are in Colorado for a couple of years [hubby's job!] I haven't found another person on this forum in Colorado! I have seen at least two Yorkies here, so I know they're out there ... just can't seem to locate them!!! Toto and I will be flying home next week to bring my car up here ... people up here hunt Elk ... Toto and I will be hunting Yorkies!!! :aimeeyork I know there are a few more on the forum from Alabama! We only have one pet ... totally spoiled Toto who is 19 months old! She consumes 95% of my time and almost all of Patrick's "free time", which isn't very much. His job here is very demanding and poor Toto starts watching the door about an hour before he gets home and absolutely "attacks" him when he comes in!! No doubt, she is indeed a "Daddy's Girl"!! ;) Looking forward to hearing all about Cooper and your other babies!! ;)

I haven't posted in so long --- this makes me so YorkieTalk sick (as opposed to homesick!) Luca Dean is suddenly almost adult! He's now 7 months and he's cuter than ever. Bettyanne, it's good to here Toto's getting along well in Colorado. We'd love to see y'all if I ever get time off work. (The vets are all busy during Spring Break/AEA, so I am there everyday now!) Kristi -- welcome to Yorkietalk! My downstairs neighbors are from Clanton -- they're college students, and dogless -- sucha shame. Tai and Ben -- not sure of last names -- but both from your area. Bentley's Mom -- good to see you're still around and have a yorkie in the same town!! I've seen four yorkies come through my vet's office where I work, and none are as cute as my Luca Dean. (Mom's opinion though -- might be a bit one-sided.)

Hi everybody! I am from Athens, AL but go to college in Auburn, AL. I have a 5 month old yorkie named Diesel. I have had him about one month and have enjoyed every minute of our time together. I read a lot of books about yorkies before I got Diesel but after coming across this site on a web search, I have learned that yorkie talk has a lot more information to offer. I hope to have a little time to post pictures of my baby soon.

I am in Virginia but from Alabama.

Center Star? I am from Phil Campbell. 30 south of Muscle Shoals.
Is Center Star aka Mountain Star?

I was suppose to go home yesterday but cancelled cause I got Cleo and she doesn't have all her shots.

Would love to meet up with other Yorkies in Bama.

The good Lord works in funny ways. After I cancelled my trip my "Grannie" got really bad sick. Better now. Thought I was going to lose her.

So when I reschedule in a week or two I get to see her and other family.

I have 2 really good friends in VA but they just don't replace family, they take their place for the moment but just not the same.

Anyway, it will be good to go home again. Been about 1 yr or so.

I am in northeast Louisiana (Monroe) but I'm from Colorado Springs originally. My boyfriend and I are here for his job for the time being.

Glad to see you other "Louisianians" (is that what we are called?) on here too! Wish I was further down south so we could plan a get-together! - - Maybe Baxter and I can plan a road trip sometime! ;)

Center Star is between Florence and Athens on HWY 72...a bump in the road east of Killen, AL...LOL

You are right down the road from my parents! They live in Athens, AL!! I never knew that your area was called Center Star.

Yeah...Center Star is named but is so small we don't have a Post Office so our address is actually Killen, AL. We are about three miles west of Elgin and Elgin is about 6 miles west of Rogersville and if you are familiar with that area of 72, you know the rest! LOL We are about 30 minutes from Athens...we go thru there all the time to get to I-65.
