That sounds TOTALLY awesome! Count me and my girl IN! I'm speaking with a girl now that LIVES IN my neighborhood - TOO weird! :animal-pa We will need to build a committee? Someone to check out hotels pet friendly OR HOMES we are willing to share. Mine is open to a family. Someone to bring food - maybe we should ALL bring something - a potluck kind of thing? Let me know if I can help... I dont want to step on anyone's toes! Do we know where we are having it? So far - most seem close to Tampa whereas Orlando seems FAR for our extreme south Florida friends! :animal-paxoxo:animal-pa |
Hey everyone... wow great response. I am glad I started this thread. I totally forgot it was Father's Day weekend! Oops. The first weekend in June is good for me! Little One, Carsou and Me all live close to each other (Little one and I are in the same neighborhood). Maybe we could be the committee (if Carsou and Little one agree :) ) since we could actually get together beforehand and make plans.? Potluck would be fine with me.. There is a clubhouse in my development, but I will have to check to see if dogs can come too! If everyone agrees with Tampa, please advise if the weekend of June 5th works for you. I need to get a headcount. Of course, people can join in later or back out if needed. I will start doing more research into things we can do, Pup-friendly hotels and etc. Someone is welcome to stay with me. Thoughts? Suggestions? Ideas? I look forward to meeting all of you in June!!!!! Sarah & Maddy!! :aimeeyork |
The weekend of June 5 sounds great to us. If you need any help planning let us know :) |
:(:( That weekend is really no good for me.. Its my Godson's first birthday and I really cant miss that.. But if everyone else is good with it I don't want it changed just for me :(:( BUT I do want to come :D REALLY bad |
June is great not extremely hot, and prices in Tampa are better than in Orlando. Anyone else has a suggestions as far time and place, or can we set it up for that weekend? DH said, yes, so he'll do the driving.... Are husbands allowed, or is it only a girls/furbabies thing? |

I would love to help organize this. We are so excited!!!:) |
Once we know how many members are coming, will be easier to organize. I've never been at a met up before, so need advise on what to take and what to do |

I didnt have time to read all of this - in the car on my iPHONE. But I wanted to say I am 100% in and ready to help. I can GUARANTEE a PRIVATE, very large lot of property with very plush - nice grass to play in. As can my friend above that too lives in my neighborhood can. We arent going to find PRIVATE lots easily... there are TWO here without question. Without PRIVATE LOTS - we cant be sure our babies are safe and protected. This makes for a much more pleasant experience. Being IN CONTROL over not only who is there but what kind of dogs are. So lets go ahead and at least determine location? Tampa? We need to determine size, as well. Would everyone feel comfortable with a weight limit of NO MORE than 20 pds if not a Yorkie. If it is a Yorkie is can be 100 pds. No threat. :animal-pa xoxo :animal-pa |

I love the (Tampa) private lots idea and I would even push a 15 pound limit for none yorkies. I friends have a 20 boston terrier and she runs over my fur-butts. I would prefer June 12 weekend. In my county LEE which is about 2.5 hours south of Tampa, school isn't out till the 10th. You can count 2 humans and 2 fur-butts. |

June 12 is a perfect weekend for me as well. And the Tampa area I think looks like its close enough for MOST everyone here.. Besides I think we all mostly have in our heads now Tampa. I know I do :p I also like the idea of a private area for them to play. That seems perfect Btw.. My babys a yorkie/maltese and she looks mostly maltese (or a white yorkie :p) I hope thats ok.. Shes half yorkie though I swear!! |

I think a weight limit should be enforced. |
