| New Selling Rules I hope that I can comment here without getting myself into trouble. I noticed that a new rule was made yesterday for sellers. Only Donating members are allowed to sell and it has to be a donation of $25 or more. That no longer makes it seem like donations are an option for some of us. Sure, we have the choice NOT to donate, but we can no longer offer anything we make if we do not donate. Makes it seem more like a mandatory fee than a free will donation. I would love to be a donating member if it was something I felt I could afford to do at this time. My income is very limited and as I am just starting out really most anything I sell for the most part goes right back into supplies so I can make more. It isn't that I didn't want to donate, it just hasn't been a good time for me to do so yet. I wonder if Admin would consider giving those of us that have been members for awhile (I have been a member for almost a year now) a probationary period. Allow us XX amount of time to offer our products but make it known that to continue to offer our products at the end of xx time we must have become donating members. That would give some of us the chance to have the $ to donate out of our profits. And if we don't donate in xx amount of time, then don't allow us to offer our products until we donate? I also want to apologize for breaking one of the original sellers rules. I re-read the rules yesterday and realized I had disobeyed one. It wasn't intentional, but it was still unfair to other sellers so I feel I owe all of you an apology and hope you will accept it. Thank you for your time and consideration. Alycia

| I am afraid we will all miss out on buying things for a good price from the ones who sell stuff that their baby has outgrown etc. They won't want to pay $25 to sell a $5 item that they are taking a loss on anyway. I have always planned on donating, just haven't been able to yet.

Administrator | Thank you for your feedback. YorkieTalk is free for all members to ask questions, get answers, search, post pictures, share videos, and browse. However, after extensive talks with many of our Donating Members, who help YorkieTalk with fees and costs associated with running this community, we feel it is unfair for those that are not yet Donating Members to be allowed sell items in our community. Thus, being one of the benefits of being a YorkieTalk Donating Member is being able to sell Yorkie and non-Yorkie related goods in our community. Last edited by admin; 07-03-2007 at 02:50 PM. |
