What if we had a sign up similar to the Buddy Exchange sign ups.

Something like that. It would give a pretty good idea of the person so picking out a gift wouldn't be too hard. There are always gifts that most people like. Stuff from Bath and Body, picture frames, candles. I don't think it would be very difficult to make this work. And it would be alot of fun and another way for us to get to know each other.

What if we just incorpoate into your next gift exchange? Maybe bump the next exchange by a month and whoever you get you buy your normal yorkie gift and also for the yorkie mom/dad?

Just a thought. Two gifts in one.

I like the idea of doing a info sheet too (much like for our Yorkies). I know when I worked at our local UA, we did "boo-buddies", "secret-santa", etc. We always did a sheet on much like listed in a previous post (shirt size, favorite color, scent, candy, food, drink, hobbies, etc).

Course, we did a little gift each day and then a big gift at the end of the week, but that wouldn't work here (of course).....but we could do it much like for your Yorkies (spending amount, time limit, etc).

The short info questionnaire sounds like a great idea. We will definitely have that in our signup thread.

Since not everyone that does the regular Yorkie Gift Exchange will want to participate in this one, this YT People Gift Exchange will be separate. Also, some members may not be financially able to handle buying a gift for a Yorkie secret buddy as well as for the Yorkie parent too, so we will respect that.

The YT People Gift Exchange will most likely take place in December with signups in late November. We will probably look to put a suggested gift amount of $20 (though of course members can spend as much as they would like), but $20 would be the minimum amount on the gift itself (shipping is in addition to that).

The form will be something like this:

Favorite color:
Favorite candy:
Shirt size:
Hobbies or interests:
Do you celebrate Hanukah or Christmas?
Anything special you would like your secret pal to know about you:

(If you are shy about your age, put in something "approximate" if you can, like 40s, 50s, or 60s)
