| How do posts work? OK, I've skimmed the rules and all of that. I posted a thread in the general section about this weekend. It got moved to pacific nw area. I had to do a search under my name for posts I did to find it. It doesn't come up if I click new posts or through quick links, to be honest, I didn't even know that area existed. Fasteddie also posted about the weekend thing to there which I never saw until this issue. How do I get those posts if I can't remember to click on the tiny area that says pacific NW. I don't want to miss something?

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Tiggerwit....I'm not crazy about the new set up myself. What happens is you post a new thread or reply to another....it will not come back to the top until another person has replied. HTH ~

| I think that all the regional stuff that is posted in general is moved so that general discussion doesnt get all cluttered. And so it is easier for people to find events in their region without sifting through alll of the posts in general.

I can understand that, but my concern is if I didn't know about it or the new post doesn't show up for me and I'm asking about this weekend, how can I be sure someone else will see it in time?

Administrator | New posts ONLY show you threads with posts that you have not read. If you post a new thread or a new reply in a thread, it will not show up in New Posts (for you) because the system considers you as having read that thread. For everyone else, that thread you just posted in will show up in the New Posts link because it is a new post for them. If you click on a thread that shows up in the New Posts link, the next time you click New Posts, that thread will not show up in the list because it has now been marked 'read'. This is a more efficient method, because members can now easily see what they have or haven't read and what threads have new posts in them on YT. If you want to clear your New Posts list, click on Quick Links then click Mark Forums Read and it will consider you as having read all current threads up until that time. We understand some member may not like this, and may be used to the old system, for those members, you may click on Quick Links then click Today's Posts. This will show you a list in reverse chronological order (meaning new posts first) of new threads for today, which will include threads in which you are the last person to reply and include threads which you have started. Alternatively, you can also bookmark this link below in your browser's favorites, which will give you results of the old style of the New Posts link... http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sea...ew&oldmethod=1 |

Yeah, but I didn't see it. Which is why I seem to being having my not normal hair color day. I'm not saying it wasn't there, just that if it was I'm definately computer challenged today. I'll get over it.
