| question I saw a name in the "members currently online" list that I thought I recognized. I looked at their profile, 0 posts 0 threads, BANNED. Why or how would that happen? (Their green little light was on as well)

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I can answer part of your question, a member can be banned before he or she ever answers a thread if that person does things that aren't allowed here. For example, having multiple identities, or posting spam or someone's profile page. Many would be spammers are banned almost immediately because people who are members of the welcome committee check for certain things and report would-be spammers to JMuedog. Regarding the green light, I have see that happen before too and sometimes a green light will appear and someone really isn't online. I was having a phone conversation with someone and they said my green light was on and I hadn't even been on the computer that day yet. Also, admin sometimes using fake/dead accounts to check on certain aspects of Yorkietalk so you might see the green light, but I don't know if these special accounts actually say "banned" or not. If you have a question about this person account, I suggest you check JMuedog or Wylie's Mom, Admin might take a while to actually see this question.

| I'm wondering too if members who are banned, suspended, or "no longer a member", can still log on and read only, but are blocked from posting. Or are they blocked from logging on too?

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Sometimes it takes 24 hours after they are banned before they can't log on, but I don't think they can post immediately.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Even if a member is banned, the software/site will still recognize their IP/account - so it can appear that they're on the site....but they're still actually banned.

| So does that mean that banned members can continue to read on YT but just can't post or send & receive messages?
