| ![]() I love the idea of a debate because that is when I learn the most! But having said that too many times we get into a debate on one new thread instead of taking it off thread. Many times I have wished that people not respond to the original question that we all know will take everyone over the top and scare new members or make them feel that it is a personal attack but start a new thread and hash it out there. Then people can tell these new members to go to the thread and they might not take it so personal. Also I think that valuable information gets lost in these threads because of the title and then new members can't even really search for all the valuable information that is on YT because it is buried in a thread.

| ![]() As someone still getting my wings here I find that anything can go from informative to heated over not hardly a thing. It depends on who and how someone reads it as well as their thoughts on the subject or even the thoughts about the person posting the info. I have posted a few times my thoughts on training and got some interesting responses to the posts that where out in left field. I am not interested in debating, discussion yes debate not so much. But I do think that a debate or hot topic area would be good for those that wish to spend time doing that and enjoy it. Joy Last edited by Yorkie Mum; 12-24-2005 at 08:56 AM. |

| ![]() I think a debate section would be God awful. It is fun, however, to watch other forums go down to hell by reading their debate sections. Why breed arguments that way? It's stupid.

| ![]() Also, I think the only reason any forum would have to make a debate section is to have an easy outlet to BAN members.

| ![]() I think a debate corner might be good, but there would have to be rules.. Like this is a debate not a fight!!
