I used some profanity because I was pushed over the edge, and presto , was suspended.I could see what others were still writing about in my thread still, then wished I had just asked for the thread to be closed before losing my cool.
Honestly, YT is not the same for me anymore, because now nobody cares to respond to my threads or cares about my dogs anymore. Having a bad reputation is just as hard as getting suspended. Even if you had been a donating member, and had been on this site for a long time. It is best to keep your cool and ask for a thread to be closed if if comes too heated you can't handle it anymore. | Ah -- don't worry MsCat! We all love your pups and I am sure no one is purposely not repsonding on your threads! I doubt anyone remembers (well until you just reminded us!) of you being suspended! So many of us have had that happen, it is not a lasting stigma. We just do our time and come back a little more humble and maybe a little more restrained ;)
Sometimes you wind up getting suspended even when you think you shouldn't. I finally decided it was because YT Admin is using common sense and good judgement and not necessarily going by the letter of the law! :D I did push too hard even though I thought I had not out&out broken any rules. It was my sarcastic intent that got me in trouble. IAfter the fact with a cooler head, I can agree but at the time I was stomping my foot! We are all human and can step over the line -- but there is always room for a fresh start here!
We are blessed with this site. I think it is managed better than any other I have belonged to. None of us are defined by one post, one outburst or one event! So, hold your head high, MsCat! We love you! |
