Thor's Human Donating Member | Posting comments on blogs I mentioned this last year, I think. The way that the blog posts are laid out here, it looks like you just need to type a comment in the box below and post it. In fact, you have to click on a little link that says, "post new comment", which does not actually change the look of the screen -- it's just that the comment box has now been "activated". This is especially a problem when a blog post already has several comments. There's no real visual cue that you need to click on anything before you start typing. If you forget to click on the reply link, and just push the "post comment" button, you are taken to a screen that displays the message, "your comment was too short". If you click the back button, your comments have been lost, which of course is frustrating, especially if you typed out a long comment. It's actually taken me a while to figure out that that's what's happening. To the uninitiated, it just looks like blog posts get eaten every now and then. It seems like with some minor redesign, posting comments could be more intuitive. Thanks.

Thor's Human Donating Member | Also, there is no easy way to read multiple blog posts from one person. Your own posts have back/next buttons, but you don't see these on other members.

Administrator | Thank you for your feedback. It is unfortunate that the blog reply system is not easy and intuitive to use as the regular YorkieTalk forums. We have the latest version of the blog software and there has not been an update to it in quite some time now. |
