Thor's Human Donating Member | Admin seemed open to the basic idea of starting a thread in the "Wanted" forum. I wanted to gauge interest level before we got official sign off, but it looks like enough people might want to do it, so yes, I'll bug admin. I'm thinking for the addresses, that each person in the chain will PM their address to the person who is sending the box. The order of recipients will be public, just not the addresses.

| I know I said I would love to do it but I have a question... Is it okay to let your baby chew on a stuffie that another dog has chewed on?? Just asking. I guess you could wash it. Would that be enough to clean it enough? I don't know just asking??

Thor's Human Donating Member | Good point, we would have a rule that all used toys must be washed.

| We're lucky if toys last more than a week in our house so it will be just clothes from our end...

| I'm just a little concerned about the toys, like what kind. I guess I'm thinking of health reasons. Now before anyone say's anything, I'm NOT saying anyone's dog has something. I just think perhaps we might think "precaution"? That is why I'm asking. Just like I wouldn't take a ladies bra or undies. Laughing my arse here. |

| If we had to be a donating member, I'd probably only be able to do it if they lowered it to like $10, or had it just based on a number of posts if you aren't a donating member (a high number like 300-500 posts if you aren't a donating member) or something. $25 is a bit much right now, especially since you would then have to pay for shipping to send the box on. I love the idea though.

| I think this is a great idea. Don't forget harnesses and collars! How about dog dishes and other lightweight smaller items?

| I dont think we would have to worry too much about any germs!!! The toys we should all be giving would be ones that our furbabies didnt like and never played with or barely played with. We dont want to give anyone anything with chew marks in it! I think clothing will be given most. I have some sweaters that were never worn. I tend to buy things and never use them, I always go back to the same few things!!

| I think it's a fun idea. What about having separate boy clothes and girl clothes exchanges. With my luck, I'd get all dresses for my boy! Donna

| I love this idea but if it gets too big we might have to break it down into groups by region or it could take a year for the box to go all the way around. Requirements should be 1. Donating members and 2. At least 1000 posts I think we can get to know a member pretty well by the time they have posted that many times. |

| Great idea! I didn't read all the posts, so it may have already been mentioned, but maybe it could be a rule that you have to put in the same number of items that you took out, so the box keeps getting regenerated and it never runs out... so if you take out 2 items, you have to replace it with two more and so on.
