It does...you just do not see what they said. I just saw one today that a person on my ignore list started. Her name is there, but I cannot read what she posted.
There are a couple of people who could say the sky is falling and I would rather have the sky fall on my head than read what they have to say.

I've never came across any body that I would want to ignore, but even if I did, I don't think I could do it, just for the simple fact that I'm nosey and want to see what they would be talking about... more so that I could laugh at their silliness.

If someone was consistently nasty towards you or if someone was inappropriate or offensive a lot of the times... things like that.
