| How about a debate section? Some topics always generate a big debate now matter how innocently they are brought up...such as the great Parti debate, designer dog debate and dog food debates that we've seen. Do you think having a debate section for these special topics would help? That way each party could present their side in a non confrontational way without hijacking someone's thread in another section and members could read and decide for themselves. Just a thought... |

| JMO but I am afraid that those that actaully would want to "debate" these types of issues already have strong feelings both pro and con as we have seen in some threads. I am thinking it would just become a free for all. again JMO

| I have to agree with the others. It would just be a place where anyone can just rant. If I click on a post, and it's a heated debate, I just back right out of it.

| I think it's an idea... ... though on a pit bull forum I'm on, there's a debate section. And, often times, it gets very out of hand. Just saying. |

| JMO..... I think it would cause some unnecessary tension. This site is really great. I enjoy the fact that everyone is friendly and helpful. I also feel that the negativity could possibly spill over into the rest of the board. If that happens, we may lose a lot of really great members. ~Kathy

i think what we have right now is ok... i think for the most part, people are able to work out a civil way to end the discussion, or sometimes they just stop participating in that thread. OR the thread gets closed! and that ends it!

| I kind of agree with both sides. A debate section may stop the constant argument about certain topics in the others sections but it would probably get out of hand.
