Some type of code of ethics/conduct should be imposed here.

Since I don't advertise, my concern is for the new yorkie owner. And there are those that are looking for a mixed breed, or color variance.

At the very least, considered as a foundation, tweaked a little for YT purposes to fit the members here.

Ah, so we should have to pay to have an opinion?:( That sucks for those people who contribute in other ways or who post regularly and are on tight budgets. Guess I better suck it up and finallyl get around to writing that check, huh?:p

Well there is more to YT than just having an opinion, there IS the entertainment factor. :D

Like I said in another post. I understand how they don't mold to fit everyone. Maybe for YT purposes, some could be tweaked. I just think that since they are to credit for the breed to begin with, their opinions should at least be considered and valued.:)

I don't think what Bama is saying here that no matter what is being bred and by who....there should be an ethic and conduct....and since the YTCA has one it can be tweaked and used......we are not talking about show dogs......we are talking about breeders.

Thank you all for the input.

Even though I am a featured breeder, I have no problem with enforcing new guidelines. If we need to put that you have to be a member for a year before being a featured breeder, then I'm completely fine with that... even though I haven't been. I strongly feel that we need to do something here.

I believe that YT can come up with a set of guidelines on their own without borrowing from the YTCA.

A long time ago listing available pups by members for other members seemed ok.

Now it seems to just be another advertising site for many.

IMO no pets should be sold on this site at all. There are plenty of places on line to advertise pups. It shouldn't be done here.

Get it back to just a group of people enjoying others with like interests.

LOL! No joke! Seriously... got a good belly laugh out of me... at my own expense!

What I was trying to say I guess is that even if it cuts some of the members that are currently featured breeders out, it still needs to be dealt with. I say start over from scratch with new guidelines. If you can't uphold to the guidelines then you shouldn't be a featured breeder.

And I agree that this is becoming too much of an advertising site. That's why I firmly believe that not only featured breeders should have membership requirements, post requirements... but all sellers on here should as well. Not just for puppies... for all items.
