| Why? Why is it when I post something it is never on page one but just a very short while? I posted something this morning and it is not even on page 2. It seems like they are gone before anyone has a chance to respond. Am I doing something wrong? |

| You are not doing anything wrong. There are so many post each day that it is really easy for a post to get "Bump" down the page. If you want to "Bump" it back up. Just Post a reply and write "Bump" |

| I have the same problem, there have been many times I had an importian question about something, and because so many new post come up it is gone withing a few hours. It is disheartening sometimes. But to use the bump idea is a good one!

people will usually respond - like everyone said - it's a fast moving site - each reply to ANY post pops it to the top ...you're NOT doing anything wrong - When you can't FIND your post - you can use a search word at the bar on the page - just type in a key word that's in the post you want to find...but not something that's used over and over - like ...the word yorkies - you'd get a zillion posts pulled up

Administrator | To avoid the forum turning into an infinite number of bump posts, we will only allow one bump per day per thread, and it must at least AN HOUR after you have received your initial post. The problem with too many bump posts is that a member can see that a thread has new replies, but when they click on it, all they see is the new "bump" post, which in effect slows the forum down and deviates from the user experience. We will revisit the issue if it becomes a problem later on. Last edited by admin; 06-30-2005 at 07:52 PM. |
