wow, that was really hard to work out on a laptop... if anyone wants to know how to do it on a toshiba laptop then I know where the keys are you need to use! ♥ ☺ ☻ ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ • ◘ ○ ♫ ☼ ► ◄ ↕ ‼ ¶ ◙

I had already tried the alt 3 on keypad it didn't work for me.oh Jenn I had copied and pasted the heart that I put in post

Okay... with a toshiba laptop...

Press the Fn key, it's on the left of the spacebar with text in a different colour to the other keys. Press and hold that and press F11...

You should get a little light up with is a square with little dots in it...

That's switched the numlock on... so now the Alt codes will work..

Press the Alt button and hold it down, press the number key you want, (numbers are M=0, J=1, K=2, L=3, U=4, I=5, O=6, 7=7, 8=8, 9=9) then let go of Alt...

Okay, I've done a quick search for you and I can't find any different ways for makes of laptop so I'm guessing it's the same for all manufactors... Fn key and then Numlock... unfortunately I'm not sure if the Numlock key is in the same place on a HP or not...
