| Help..throwing up what looks like bile Hello All, My pup (4yrs.) Threw up 3x yesterday and 3 the day before. Today she threw up once at 6am but has not since. She is not throwing up any of her food just stuff that is frothy and clear/yellow. The day before I gave her flea and tick treatment and she also went to the groomers 2 days prior to that. Any ideas what this may be from. She seems like her old self again. I tried to get a vet apt. but was told that I could not do so for 2 weeks Any ideas as to why she might be throwing up? Like I said she has not done so all day. Any OTC meds. I should give her? Thanks |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i agree about your vet. they should take you in if your dog is having a problem. I think your pup is stressed from the flea meds and the groomer adn that's what's making her throw up. did she throw up today? you can always give her pepcid ac (NOT COMPLETE) to settle her stomach.

| Has anyone ever had their dog throw up after using flea and tick products? Like I said, I gave it to her Monday night and she started throwing up on Tuesday. |

edit to add: my cat used to do it minutes after putting it on, not a day after.

| I've never had an animal vomit after flea/tick meds but my vet told me that when they throw up bile it means they have an empty tummy. Is your baby not eating? I hope she feels better soon. I also agree about the vet. Making a sick pet wait 2 weeks for an appt is absurd. Good luck.

| How is your puppy? Did you make it to the vet? My puppy just threw up a yellow, kind of foamy liquid, but he hasn't had any medications or unusual trips lately |

| sick puppy I read somewhere you could give pepto bismol to dogs with an upset tummy.Be sure to check it out first. Perhaps it is excess stomach acid from all the things the little thing has been doing. GOOD LUCK |

| We did go to the vet and she had blood work. It turns out she has a touch or gastritis and something else, but I forget the name?? She is on amoxicillin and a pill for her belly. So far she has not thrown up since Monday Thanks for asking. |
