we are on our way to her spay! She is barely 3 pounds....I've waited so long in hopes she gets bigger....not happening. She did well under anesthesia a few weeks back when she had to go under for a tooth absess. I am a wreck though - I'm praying so hard that she does fine. Please send your good thoughts.
FYI - I did not take Lucy Lu because she is in heat and most of your comments suggested not to do it now. Her breeder told me the same thing so I will wait it out and keep her on lock down-lol!

Aww, she should be just fine. That is where Ellie is right now.

I am just waiting for that call saying that she is done. What time do you get to pick Gemma up?

They said I should be able to pick her up tonight between 4-6. They should be calling me around 10-11 though to tell me how she did.
And it was just a seditive they gave her for her tooth, this is different so I don't know how she'll do

my turn is coming soon so I'll be on here in your shoes before long. My Mags is still less than 2 lbs. Poor hubby is trying to fatten her up cos he's as scared as me of getting her spayed !! lol That's his "boo" as he calls her

You will get a call by 10 or 11? That is early. I have to wait til probably 12 or maybe even as late as 3.

They will call me when she is just waking up and they know she is ok....but I can't pick her up till this evening

But her surgery is for 9:30am.
I will call if they don't call me! LOL!

She threw up as soon as we got there

She sometimes doesnt eat enough and will throw up bile. She wasn't supposed to eat, so she threw up....poor baby. Normally I would syringe feed here about now....but the IV fluids will make her ok, right?

I am saying a big prayer for precious little Gemma today! She is so stinkin' cute, I just love her

I know that she will do fine girl, but I was a nervous wreck just like you are, so I completely understand the worry!

LOL thats kinda funny! I have a male dog and he has an anxiety problem and does that allll the time at the vets - or anywhere for that matter!

It is 11:55. I wasn't thinking about time zones. That's why you dropped her off so late.

So noon is in 5 minutes but this doctor gets done with surgeries at 6pm I think so I really have no idea what time Ellie will be done. I am just figuring by three since the vet thinks we're special and won't make us wait.

I'm happy someone is going through this on the same day. I wanted someone to commiserate with.

YAY! They called and said she is doing fine!! Oh thank God....they spayed her, chipped her, and pulled 4 teefers. My little angel...I can pick her up at 3:30!!
How about Ellie???? Have you heard? I'm still thinking of your little baby too!
