| Thankyou everyone for the reply, and i am so happy other people give their yorkie babies carrots too. I give murphy the petite carrots to chew, but do not cut them up. When I cut them up he doesnt eat them. Will giving them whole be bad for him? He loves to hold it with his paws, lays on my sofa and chews away. I sit and watch him as he eats. Thanks again for all the info. Katharine

| Both Winston and Maggie loves baby carrots. I give them a whole one and they both crunch away. My Vet totally supports us giving carrots, green beans, apples, etc. instead of snacks.

| Carrots have the added bonus of adding bulk to the dogs poo so that it helps keep the anal glands clear. I've given my babies a baby carrot every morning and we've never had to have their anal glands emptied by the vet.

| I give Mojo and Lily baby carrots (that I chop up small) or steamed carrots...they love them!! I also give them green beans (another of their favorites)....apples and watermelon are up there high on their list of favorites too! Cheerios are okay....they will occassionally eat them...not often though. Shredded cheddar cheese....they love it!

| The vet advised me to give Milo carrots - not the baby ones, the big ones - without slicing. He said gnawing on carrots is really good for them, specially when they're teething. It helps with the pain, or something. |
