| Honking Yorkie... Hi guys, I need some help ... my yorkie girl Lily is almost two years old... she's been sneezing a lot (only small sneeze with small amounts of water come out). Last week we went to vet (Petsmart Benfield)...she got some shots. This week she's been doing this weird noises like honking and snorking.. and she started snoring when she sleeps... I know it's not a reaction to the shots because before we went to the vet she did those honking sounds when she was jumping up and was tilting her head to far... but I am very concerned... when she starts that honking it looks like she is chocking and I put my hand on her back and say it's ok.. she stops... doesn't anyone experienced that before.. I have a vet visit for tomorrow morning but i don't know if I should go to emergency instead... Please help... |

| Piper does that too. He sounds like he has something stuck in his throat. I rub him under his neck and he usually stops. If he doesn't I'll give him a little water with a syringe, and it will stop.

| Do you use a collar to lead her with? If so, then you need to stop, and put a harness on her instead. Sounds like a cold though and I'm thinking kennel cough, especially since she has a clear mucus coming from her nose. I would take her to the Vet. and have her checked over really well. |
