| Whenever there is a lot of blood, you need to go to the Vet. If they are not open, go to the ER Vet asap.

| blood All bitches should see the vet after whelping to make sure all pups and placenta's are expelled...blood in urine is not a problem after whelping..it may go on for a few days..think about it..have you given birth yourself? |

| I'm thankful someone was able to answer your questions. Hope she's better in a few days, but if the bleeding gets really bad I'd still take her to the vet.

| vet ALL bitches should see the vet with in 24 hrs of whelping regardless..it is good dog breeding practices...blood in the urine or a bloody discharge is not cause for alarm..infact a shot of oxyie will clean her out and there will be little discharge..mine stop spotting by 3 to 4 days. |

| She's okay, thank God! Gypsy is okay, I took her to the vet the next day, it was just discharge. She needed stitches though. Yes, I have given birth twice before to Olivia, age twelve and Tommy, age ten.The puppies are doing great! Thanks so much for your help, I haven't had a litter in over two years. |
