| I'm just seeing this and I'm so glad things are looking up...like you said it has only been five days so hang in there ......Every time my DD has a c-section she's very sore for a good 3 weeks, so I would imagine he's going to be just as sore being he just had surgery..... try thinking as each passing day as another day toward his healing....keep us posted on his progress.....

| falls down well. day 10 and still at hospital. mu surgeon is keeping him until strong enough to go home. thanks god. getting pt 3 times daily and now acupuncture. they say each day he gets a little stronger. the issue is he is still weak on left side. tries to get up.eats well, barks but still can't really walk alone...im a little nervous. how long? they are doing all for free. lucky us . this costs 1200 a week. my surgeon feels bad and wants him better before going home. i hope...time will tell. this was 2 major surgeris he had so we have to be patient as everyone is telling us thanks again (especially val and babtbear) stu/ang Last edited by stu; 10-18-2007 at 05:17 PM. When you little guy gets home if you need any pointers please let me know. I would first suggest getting a play pen that a baby would stay in to keep him in while you are at work. This way you know he can not fall and injure himself. I wish you the best of luck.

| Don't be scared yet. Thats a big surgery. If the vet says he's getting progress then you'll have to trust him. As long has he has movement and feeling in his legs then I'm sure he'll be ok. You don't want to rush him. Keep us informed. I'm sure he'll be fine. These little pups are tough. |

| Keep working with him. Don't give up. If he's trying then he'll keep trying. If he;s in no pain and you have the patience then wait it out. Seniors take longer to heal. |

| Stu, I think to tell you the truth he would do better at home with you. He is trying to get better for strangers. You just have to learn to deal with a very delicate pup now. You might even want to concider a cart for him like Babybear's but maybe a quad cart. I feel they do better with the ones they love. He might feel you have given up on him also. How often do you go see him?? He might need to see his family more often. I had Babybear with me constantly for the first 4 months 24/7. Next time you see your little one give him a belly rub from Babybear and I.

| Hey Stu, Glad to see your post. Did you ask about the water treatment? Basically you put a towel around his belly and put his feet in the tub and he will try to swim. That seemed to help that crippled Yorkie Tahoe. I hope this helps. I sure hope your little guy gets better. I know its hard to see him like that. Toby is pretty much blind now and he's walking into things. Its really sad, but he seems happy. Does your dog seem happy? As long as he seems happy and isn't in pain then keep up the fight. He won't quit on you if you don't quit on him. |
