| Puppy biting at butt and crying? I have a little puppy, about 10 weeks old. He's be doing great since we got him but today for some reason he has been biting at the back of both hind legs. It seems like to he trying to reach his butt. I've thoroughly cleaned back there to ensure nothing is bothering him, but he still seems to be aggravated by something. He is barking and crying at it and I can't figure out what's going on. Anyone have an idea of what might be going on? |

| It could be several different things. It could be parasites (Worms etc) or it could be fleas and last it could also be an allergy. My Bella gets allergies every August/September and she will bite and bite and cry. We have to get her a shot every August. I'd take your baby to the vet. Bring a stool sample along to be checked for parasites. And, before hand, you can look through his fur to make sure that he does not have fleas or lice. Best of luck. Elaine |

| Thanks for your ideas. Do you know what kind of allergies are common in Yorkies? |

| Fleas can really make them itchy, and uncomfortable. Good luck finding an answer.

| Have you changed his food lately? When Bailey was a puppy and she had gas, she would cry, bark and try to bite her behind. She would also sometimes try to run away from it. If he is not constipated have you checked to see if he has a "plug" stuck in his his bottom?
