| update on Boston I'm starting to feel like a nuisance, continuing to post in here about this...I took another stool sample in on Monday because Boston's stool was runny AGAIN. For like the 800th time. The vet called Monday night and said they found nothing so they are thinking he may have IBS or just a sensitive stomach. So she put him back on the flagyl for 5 days and I am to feed him nothing but hamburger and rice for 2 weeks...no treats, no dry food, nothing. I started that last night and today his poop was pure black and liquid like bean soup...is that normal? I'm starting to get a little p.oed. "It could be this, it might be that." Am I crazy for being mad? Anyone whose dogs have sensitive stomachs go through this stuff?

He is almost 6 months and since we brought him home at 7 weeks he's had nonstop bouts of runny stool...camplyobacter virus 3 times, bacteria infection once. I feed him canidae. But for the past two days he's been only rice and hamburger

| Tara, Otis has a VERY sensitive stomach. If he eats anything other than his food, milk bone, yorkie yummies, or a small amount of cheese, he gets diarrhea something awful!!! And everything other than his regular food has to be in very small amounts. I sure hope you find out what's wrong with him.. Good luck, hang in there! ~Paula

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | I seriously am getting mad too! You have spent how many hundreds on this now and STILL no solid (no pun intended) answer???? I will def. ask my vet to squeeze him in. I mean if worse come to worse we can say he is my dog??? They do not refuse new patients of owners who have pets already there.

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | Im pretty sure she tried the chicken and rice as that was also my first suggestion. He just really is getting confusing he is so happy and healthy!! Character filled and just so fun to be around. Its just the poo that will not get consistant.... She has even tried ground turkey and rice. I get these calls from her at Random hours (I dont mind) and I can tell by the way she says PAULA whats coming, THE POOP IS RUNNY AGAIN, poor girl has really been through a lot with this lil guy. I think the point to the hamburger and rice is to clear his system and start back at one. DOes anyone have a list of foods that their babies eat for sensitive bellies that maybe Tara can read up on while he is on the rice and hamburger so she is prepared when he can go back to kibble?

| hamburger I agree. I wanted to do the chicken and rice but my vet told me hamburger and rice so I felt like i neede to listen to them Maybe I'll go take a chicken breast out now and start that since he's going back to the vet tomorrow.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Poor baby - it could be the medicine causing the color and I've always had better luck with Chicken than hamburger - for some reason the hamburg always give my girls upset tummies - I think there's too much fat in it - Boiled or baked chicken is nice and bland - |
