| We have purchased area rugs for the den, dinning room, office and bedrooms...with that came a new vacuum ..as the one we had was only for hard wood floors..we want her the have a confortable home to recover in...don't want her to slipp on the floors..we want her to have every chance for a full life and pain free...my husband and I have gone from denial...to being angry..to feeling sorry for ourselves..we will be happy when the surgery is over and we are on our road to recovery..our Vet is going to be out of town...next weekend..he knows he will need to in town.at least at first...that's why we have set it for Aug 17...thanks to everyone for your support...

| Hi, JaJa had Legg Perthes when she was 7 months -- she's now 7 years. The vet did a wait-and-see approach for 1 month because supposedly it sometimes can correct itself... but... she had to have surgery to remove the femural head. I was sooo freaked out....... Good news! - after some rest, I exercised her by going up & down steps and walking on the beach. Muscle & scar tissue formed a "false/new joint". You'd never know she had lp. ( now she has luxating patellas). I know you must be scared & upset but Everything will be fine!!!! Karen & JaJa |
