| sick from stress?? I'm leaving in a few hours for the airport for vacation. my yorkie mckenna will be staying behind with my parents for the weekend and then in boarding monday to friday. yesterday she started having diarrhea for no reason. this morning she woke me up with vomit next to my pillow (she sleeps on my bed with me). then when i got up and put her on the floor to clean it up, she had diarrhea again with lots of mucus in it. also, her appetite has been nonexsistent since wednesday when I pulled out my suitcase and started packing. is the diarrhea and vomit from stress knowing I'm going or did she manage to eat something she wasn't supposed to without me knowing. what should I do? should I tell my parents to take her to the vet today. right now she's back to sleep and her stomach is making loud noises. what should I do? i'm not even sure if this is an emergency, so i'm sorry if i wasn't supposed to post this in this thread. |

| I'd have her go to the Vet, if for nothing else but you're peace of mind. You'll be worried the whole time your gone, and I think it's better to be safe. |

| Definitely have her checked out by the vet. It could very well be just nerves, but to be on the safe side have her checked--you will feel better, too, knowing that she is okay!

| well, I´m here on vacation, but I called my parents and they said she´s doing fine so far. no more vomiting and her stool is firmer and she has been eating normal. the only thing is that she seems really sad and stays by the stairs leading to the front door. I miss her so much. my next trip is going to be somewhere I can take her with me. |

Take care and I know exactly what you are going through. Sometimes the travel can also make them sick.
