Just checking in... How is Tinkerbaby doing today? Hopefully no more nasty seizures...

Nope, no more nasty ones today! Her diaper was dry at noon too so I don't think she had any seizures at all. The only time she wets is after a siezure. The one last night should have made up for several days I think!

She is doing very well this evening. Hasn't eaten much today, but she is playing with her toys and trying to chase her ball. That's funny to watch! My little Tinkermaedchen!

Ohhh... what a relieve!!! We were really worried and Mitzi told me she was praying to the special Yorkie Saint that he makes Tinkermaedchen all heile heile!!!

These seizures...what does the doctor say about them? Why is she having them? Will they eventually go away...or will they treat her to prevent them? I guess what I'm asking is why is she having them???
WOW...Tink really is a minor,I'll have to tell Winston to back off...she's still jail bait!!! Wouldn't want my boy to have to serve time behind bars. But he says he just wants to love her from afar...and that he'll wait a long, long time for her to grow up and mature!!! Oh by the way...don't tell him...but he's been fixed, so he's harmless...shhhhhhh, our secret, ok?

She had a most excellent day today.

She ate ALL of her breakfast, pooped a big one and played with her new hamburger toy from Twalla and Sam!

This afternoon when I came to check on her, her diaper was dry. No seizure!

We played for a little bit and she was trying to get her ball away from me. I threw it and she "ran" after it. A funny little sidestepping hop.

But she did it quite quickly. She's really trying!

She had just a small seizure last night (about 1:30) but it wasn't bad and she didn't cry afterward. She just scooted up by my pillow and went back to sleep. Little lover girl!

Glad to hear that Tink is doing so much better. Eating and getting around a little better is great news. Still praying for a speedy and full recovery.

The seizures are a result of the infection she had. It damages the neuro system. The vet thinks they will become less frequent and less intense and eventually go away within a year. There is nothing to give her to make them go away. She does have some meds she takes to help regulate them. They are WAY better than when she first got sick.

BTW, tink won't mind that Winston is fixed, she is too!

I know in humans with infections they can have seizures from a fever, but Tinks not still running a fever is she? I pray for a full and total recovery...we love you Tink!!!
Winston has seizures too...from low blood sugar, he was put back on puppy food and frequent feedings to try and prevent them, so far so good, it's been a little over a month since his last one...knock on wood!!! Did Tink eat well the day she had the bad seizure? Maybe her sugar goes too low also...??? I know how scarey they are, how long did hers last? Poor baby. But it sounds like her spirits are good, trying to run and play again...that's magnificent...I hope every day is better then the last...that she just keeps on getting better all the time. Big slurp from Winston!!!

So, he is sending her "get well" woofs and is reclining in his easy chair with his smoking jacket on. (Remember George Hamilton/Charlie Barley) PS Charlie does not smoke.
