My puppy has pneumonia. What should I do?

Yes, proof is good. Smart thinking on your part! I might call the SPCA anyway and just find out what sort of things they want reported, and get an idea as to what to look for.

lol, I can't even remember how to look for the old ones. I guess this website is trickier than I've put time to figure out. So much to do on here. It's funny, I developed around 100 pictures of these little crazy dogs this week. Haha, my album is getting full. I love taking pictures of them because they always do something crazy.

I actually keep looking on LVRJ to see if they list puppies on sale again. That way I would at least know they have puppies. If you speak with SPCA let me know what they say. I just thought they have to have somethink to look for. I know a total of 3 dogs had the same cough for sure including Baby. That's all I got them to accidently confess to. I know the owner of at least one of them is named Jessica but that sure isn't enough proof for further investigation.

She's doing alright. Makes a little bit of sounds here and there but I can't tell if she's sneezing or coughing. She has been "sniffing" a few times too. It sounds like there's yukk stuck in her nose that she is trying to get out to get air. Hmm, that's the best explanation I can do, :-). She is soooo much better though. I got a humidifier to see if that will help too. Fuzzy has had diarea and has been throwing up but I think it's becaus I have been giving them the wrong food such as apple and too much carrots. As of yesterday I decided no more human food. It doesn't seem to do them much good even though they love it.

Im gunna tell you somthing that i need advice on. I just got a ten week old Yorkie Poo Gizmo. I bought him from a local pet store and hes just the sweetest little thing. A few hours after i bought him i noticed he was coughing, but it wasnt a dry cough, it sounded like he had mucus that he wanted to get up but couldnt. I asked my boyfriend if it was ohkay that i make an appointment for him because 1. I wanted to make sure my little piece of life was as happy and healthy as he could possibly be and 2. On the papers the lady we purchased him from it stated that we should take him to a vet to make sure hes fit for purchase. At first he was kind of like ehh hes fine he just has a little cough, but then noticed Gizmo was kind of coughing alot. Every morning Gizmo would wake me up at exactly 730 because he was coughing, or chewing on my hair lol. But my boyfriend was still like well wait to see if it gets any better. I felt bad for Gizmo, ( i am fifteen years old, and i was brought up to always treat animals of any kind like i would treat my best friend, and if you were to ask me i think i treat animals with way more respect then i treat humans, im not disrespectful though ) Anyways, i felt bad for him so i took it upon myself to make an appointment anyways, i called the second day we had him and today we went. The nurse took his temp. I believe his temp was 101.6, which is normal for a puppy. I explaind that Gizmo had opend up pretty quickly because he was very shy the first day we got him but by the second day he was playful, giving kisses, etc. He had been eating and drinking normally and didnt act sick besides the coughing. She listend to his lungs for a few minutes then looked at me and siad " we have two concerns with these guys, kennel cough, and phenmonia. His lungs sound a little bit bigger then there supposed to be. " My heart sank because i had just read recently online that phnemonia can be pretty serious in puppies. She gave me two anti-biotics that we were not able to buy because we only had sixty dollars on us and the visit fee alone was 56 dollars. My boyfriends sister called and told us we should just return the sick puppy, and took it upon herself to just go and call the lady we bought him off of and tell her that we were gunna return Gizmo, i was so angry and devistated i wouldnt even look at my boyfriend because he was concidering actually doing it. I then explained to him very pissed off that you cant just trade him like hes some type of stuffed animal. Hes a living thing and he too has feelings like me and you. I was 10000000% against it. My boyfriend didnt want to hear it and on the way to the puppy store i was balling my eyes out, my heart mine as well have been tossed and shatterd into a million pieces. We had this puppy for not even three full days and he was my life. We then got to the puppy store and he made me go in with him and explain to the lady what had happend. I was holding Gizmo in my arms trying to distract myself from crying by looking at the other puppys playing in the cages. This lady looked at me and asked me if i was ohkay and at that i siad no, handed my little heart to my boyfriend and walked out crying like i had just lost my best friend. Which i basically did. Moments later my boyfriend came to the car explaining he had good news, the lady apologized sincerly noticing i was very upset over the fact i had bought a puppy, got attached, and had to return it knowing he was ill and had a chance of just getting put down out of being totally careless. He told me the lady was going to care for him, give him his x-rays, medicine, anything else he needed to be healthy and well and she is going to hold him for us until he is better. I was very happy to hear that, but still pretty upset because i dont want him to think that where just abandoning him carelessly. Also because i wont wake up to him just sitting on the bed stareing at me or licking my face trying to wake me up. But sorry for the long story i just want you to really know what happend so you can give me advice on how i should feel and what i should expect. Do you think hes going to be ohkay? Do you think what he has is serious? Thank you.

You might get more responses if you start your own new thread in sick and injured as this one is very old. In fact you really need to do that so people can help you. Or you can ask Admin to move this post not sure if it can be done or not.
