| UTI Specimin Catch Hi, Last week I had to collect a urine sample from my baby, JaJa. Took a couple of tries but this worked. Easier if your Yorkie is used to "going on paper" in the house... spread a med. to think piece of clean plastic drop cloth over the paper. Feed her some wet food mixed with water... (s)he'll need to urinate soon - so supervise her when going on paper to make sure she's positioned on plastic tarp. Our vet gave us a syringe and test tube. Use the syringe to pull up the urine and "squirt" it into a test tube or covered cup. You may have to do this a number of times to collect enough - even though a couple of teaspoons are enough. Much better than having the vet collect a sample (could be painful). Best, specialklm & JaJa |

| You can get a free syringe from local longs or drug store from pharmacist and the best is doing the wee wee pad upside down as mine are trained to wee wee pads - they walked over peed on it and i syringed it up and put in a plastic baggie and took to vets office so worked great. I have 3 pups though so i had to keep her in office until she went. |
