| Update - Rocky's Eye Won't Close Just an update on my Rocky. I posted in the middle of April that his one eye was not closing and after testing there appeared to be no known cause but that he had facial paralysis of some sort. In late May it was determined that at least his eye was creating tears but it still did not close. Last night he was on his back on my lap and I was stroking him between the eyes and it appears that the eye is now closing almost completely and if not completely, it looks like his little inner eyelid is coming down so it appears that the eye is ok! I was shocked and continued to rub his belly and it appears that the eye is ok and I am pretty sure he no longer has to sleep with one eye partially open :-). I am hoping this is really true. I have not told my vet yet - I want to make sure that this is not just a fluke. If there was facial paralysis as my vet said, perhaps the nerve damage finally healed. Just wanted to let everyone know. I'm thrilled! I felt so bad for him. |

| That's exactly what popped into my head, Kathy!! Bell's palsy, paralysis that isn't permanent. Just a guess, though. I sure hope his eye is better. What a blessing.
