That is SO weird to read! When my little sister was born MANY years ago...she had that patent ductus problem!!!!!! One doctor told my parents (when my sister was 6 months old) that they couldn't do anything for her...she was going to die. Then my parents went to a special heart hospital (Deborah Hospital in N.J.) and a couple years later, they did the surgery and fixed her! She is now a healthy 48 year old woman!! Good luck! Your baby will do well!

I am sorry that thing happened to you and Lilly. I cannot imagine myself to be in your shoes. I never thought that a yorkie from Sylvan Yorkies would be in this situation, and I hope that Stacy reads this thread and guide you in some ways. And as you know, I will be around to give you support as well... any time if you need to talk.

PDA is a problem in this breed, I do hope nobody jumps to conclusions about the breeder before knowing all the facts. It can crop up in the very best of lines too, just like liver shunt and the numerous other problems.
Until the breeder has been made aware of the problem she might not have known it even existed.

Good luck with her surgery, I hope it all works out wonderful.

Actually the breeder listed this pup on YT for sale.

"This girl has been in my care since January and is doing very well. She was born with a heart murmur, but has been without symptoms and is on no meds or special treatment. She will not be released with any registration and both her parents have been altered. She is well socialized, affectionate and likes to play. She is (mostly) housebroken to both pee pads and outdoors. Her Volhard aptitude testing results place her very much in the middle(3-4), so she will adapt well to most situations. Lilly is doing well. She's spunky and full of energy. You would never know there is something wrong with her. She's going to the cardiologist this week and if she needs surgery they are going to do it the following Monday. Right now we are working on her dental hygiene because her mouth is stinky. Doctor told me that I needed to keep up on her mouth because all the bacteria can go to her heart. After a few days on petzlife and cleaning her mouth it is getting much better.

I want everyone to know that this thread is to keep Lilly in your prayers and only that. I'm going to fight for her no matter what. I'm not asking anyone to defend the breeder nor bash the breeder. Yes I knew she had a heart murmur but thought that she would live a normal life with no symptons or meds just like my skin kids. No I wasn't aware that I would need to spend $2500.00 - $2700 to save her life but thats okay.

Thank you! I'm like a hawk...always watching her. Making sure she doesn't show any signs of heart failure. Thank God she's been fine...no coughing or shortness of breath...she's just running around with Mimi & Timmy. I'm also funny about letting anyone come over just because I'm scared she might get too excited. I wake up so many times in the middle of the night and touch her just to make sure she is still breathing. Gesshh the last time I did this was when my kids were newborns. She also sleeps right next to me.

It sounds like it tougher on you than it is on her! Please get some sleep, Lilly needs you to be strong and healthy. I think it's smart to limit visitors right now. I wish I were closer so that I could take a shift watching her while you get some sleep or relax some. Take care of yourself too!
