| Skin irritation getting worse! I need some advice...My little Micah is 6 months old, I took him to the vet a couple weeks ago because he has a spot under his neck where he lost some hair and looks like his skin is all dried up. They tested his skin for different things and everything came up negative so they said he just has a skin irritation from something which is common in babies. They gave me an antibiotic, he has been on it for a week now and it seems like it is getting worse. I looked at it today and it looks like the skin is now cracking and bleeding! Has anyone heard of this, or does anyone know if there is anything else I can do for him, like put some sort of cream on it or something?? |

| OH, poor baby What kind of food does he eat? It might have something in it that is irritating to his skin, you know, from the inside. Both of my girls had dry flaky skin, it never got cracked though, and I started them on Missing Link supplement. It took about a month, but their skin and coats improved SO much. Maybe try some Aloe gel on it, the medicine might be irritating too

| That IS a great food Maybe the medicine needs time to work? Couldn't hurt to call the vet and see if that is the case, or if a different med would be called for. I have no more ideas, hopefully this will clear up.

| Piper went through this. I gave her a alveena oatmeal bath. I put a paste of oatmeal on the area. It cleared up in a couple of days.

| Callie had that also under her chin where she kept scratching and I put Colloidal Silver on it and Bag Balm and it cleared it up pretty quick. |
