I'm really worried.... Gigi was up all night scratching and itching. She threw up several times, and would only sleep if I had my hands on her. I called the vet at 8 am, and we have an appt at noon, so we came on to work (Gigi comes to work with me). She has thrown up 2 more times. I removed her water and food. I have looked for fleas, and can't find anything on her. I suspect she has allergies, because all spring she has had a runny nose and watery eyes. But after last night and neither of us getting any sleep, and the puking.... I'm not sure what to think. She just saw the vet 2 weeks ago when her kitty siblings had to get their shots. He looked her over, and she was fine. She's just so little, and I can't help but worry about her!

I'm really worried... *update* Well, it seems that she has allergies, so we are going to try a couple of things to alleviate those. The thing we are worried about now is the weight loss. She used to weigh a couple of ounces over 4 pounds, and today she weighed 3.72 pounds. I told the doctor I was a concerned that she might have liver shunt. Since we had not fed her since last night, he went ahead and drew blood, and I fed her at 1, so now I take her back at 3 for more blood. I just don't know what I will do if my baby girl has liver shunt. We have had several large emergency expenses come up, and we just don't have the money for LS surgery. My heart feels like it is just going to burst from the pain and worry.

I don't think the itching and throwing up are related. Gigi tends to throw up 2 or 3 times a week. Usually in the morning. She seems to be a picky eater, and usually only eats 1/2 of the recommended potions for her size on any given day. She drinks a lot of water, she can be lethargic at times. She always picks the highest place she can find to lay down.... But it's the weight loss and lack of appetite that concerns me. I just worry about her so much..... I just hope the tests come back negative, and I've got myself a picky little yorkie. Sometimes she eats great, but it's not a daily thing, and she's losing weight.

Yeah, that means that her tummy is empty. I would try to get her to eat more and maybe right before you go to bed, give her a nice big treat. If you do a search for foamy throw up, you'll see that alot of people, including me, have had the same problem and it's because they are hungry. So, don't be too alarmed. So, get her to eat more and give her some benedryl and she should do alot better in the itching/throwing up department.
