| Sparky's getting neutered Please everyone keep Sparky in your prayers, he's getting neutered this afternoon. They had me drop him off about 9:00 this morning and said they would call when he came through the surgery. They told me they would check for retained baby teeth while they have him under. I'm just so scared because he always had a reaction to his shots, and I worry. My husband thinks it's so unfair getting him neutered, but I told him there were so many health benefits and we don't plan on breeding him, so it's the smart thing to do. I just need reassuring! I'll keep everyone posted. |

| I am thinking of you and praying for your little baby! My baby goes in Monday, our vet keeps them the night before and the night following surgery, he is truly wonderful, but i'm a nervous wreck myself, so I totally understand where you're coming from, we're worried parents, and it's natural but i'm sure in both cases our babies will be fine! Don't feel guilty, because you're right, the health benefits far outweigh the risks!

| Sparky is home ???????? Sparky's home now recovering. He was very whimpery through Friday evening, but seemed to rest well through the night. This morning he has whined a couple times, but seems to be handling everything okay. The vet removed a couple baby teeth also. The vet gave me Rimadyl 25 mg to give him for pain if needed. He said not to give it to him until this morning after he ate his breakfast. I just did a google on this drug and was wondering if this is something others have used and if it was safe. One website reported alot of health issues and even death from it. I don't want to give him anything that may harm him....but I don't want to withhold medication if he's in pain. Please let me know your opinion! |
