oh my i am so sorry for you and little cali hope all is well i would have taken her to the vet right away i would be afraid of infection inside the mouth and trama to the neck i pray all is well and i am hoping this will start a prayer chain for your baby i always use a kindness leash never a collar when i have pups i use very tiny ones so i can tell them apart but as they get a little older they never have one on except for outings and i am talking about 10 weeks or older you just never know what can happen
anyway may god bless you both in your time of need will be praying for you untill we know cali is ok

I think we would all like to hear an update on Cali...........I was hurting the whole time I read what had happened. Poor wee baby! I have never put anything on my kids when we are at home or when I leave. I was always afraid of exactly what happend with Cali might happen to one of them.......I do hope she is okay!

I understand the dangers of Yorkies and collars, but I work in my local District Attorney's Office and unfortunately charges have been filed against people because the PA Dog Warden does go door to door and check your dog for a license and vaccination tags to be on at all times, atleast in my area. Now, we still don't put a collar on Vinnie, but chances are if they came knocking on my door i'd get out of it, so i'm not concerned about the charges and the fine. If you've had one offense they seem to make it a point to re-visit! It's very unfair, especially when cat's don't have to be licensed at all.

Well, down here mine Never wear a collar. I do keep their tags at home in a folder if I ever have to show them. As long as you can show them, they don't have to be wearing them. Laws sure are different depending where you live.

Oh Rox, am just now reading this . . . . was away at the YF 2007 and so was unable to see this until now. How is little Cali doing? I hope she is feeling better . Don't be too hard on yourself. I'm just now reading this. Poor Cali and poor you also. I hope she's feeling better now. My two always have both their collars and harness's on all the time, even in their crates. Knock on wood, I haven't had any problems with that, but accidents do happen and that's exactly what Cali's was a terrible accident. Get Well Soon, Cali.
