				 | out of surgery Well, the vets office told me I could call around 3 to see how she was doing and when I could bring her home. So, I called around noon. The surgery went fine and the lady laughed and said Brea was up and wanting to leave! She said she's not whining or crying or anything. All her blood work came back AOK too! YEA!!! I am SO relieved. I can't wait to see my little pumpkin. You guys are all so sweet - thanks for you thoughts and prayers! I KNOW it made a difference. |

				 | Well, she is home! YEA!!!! She has a pain patch on her side that will last for 5 days. Her whole left hindquarter is shaved. When she gets the pain patch off in 5 days, she will start on oral pain meds for a week. She is wearing this tiny turtleneck ribbed t-shirt thing to help keep the patch on. She is so pathetic looking. She's in her bed now making tiny whimpering noises... the kind that break your heart. They said she was really good and didn't make any noise at all - that is until they put her in my arms and then she starting the crying/whimpering noises. They even tried to fix her hair on her face. Another customer asked me where I got Brea's hair coloring done cause she wants her hair to look like that! It was so funny. We have to start PT like tomorrow - just doing exercises with the leg at home so it doesn't freeze up. Sigh.... so glad it's over..... I'm mentally and emotionally exhausted. Time to sit and cuddle with my baby. |

				 | Thanks everyone! I can always count on you here at YT for a ray of sunshine! She's still sleeping away, peekin out of her bed every now and then. She hasn't eaten or had any water yet, but there's time for that. I bought her some baby food meat and some yogurt and some cottage cheese for treats as she recovers. I just can't tell you how happy I am to have her home! |

				 | Oh my gosh, I'm sooo glad that Brea's surgery went well. I was thinking about her today!! Give her lots of yorkie and maltese kisses from Miko and Emma! It will take a little bit for her appetite to get back to normal, but it sounds like she's doing okay.
